Darchei Noam – Pardes Hanna congregation, the Masorti congregation in Pardes Hanna-Karkur, was founded in the spring of 2011. The core founders were eight families committed to the goal of opening a Masorti congregation in Pardes Hanna. The congregation grew very quickly and is led by volunteers full of energy and motivation.
Darchei Noam congregation celebrates Jewish holidays, with openness, equality between the sexes, and respect for every person, while also committed to developing Halachah in the spirit of the Masorti Movement.
The congregation offers a wide range of activities for its members, such as a beit midrash, social events, spiritual guidance for people at various intersections of the life cycle and, of course, spiritual prayer.
The congregation has a number of charitable organizations for the benefit of the general public, such as Mishloach Manot for needy families through the Council’s Welfare office.
The Darchei Noam congregation has a Bar / Bat Mitzvah program. The goal of the program is to provide participants with a positive and enjoyable experience of learning basic concepts from the Jewish tradition. The participants acquire knowledge of Judaism as well as practical tools for participation in the synagogue including Aliya to the Torah and writing a sermon.
