The Masorti Foundation for Conservative Judaism in Israel

The Masorti Foundation honors the imperishable legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his work, words, and accomplishments.

We are proud that the values of the Masorti Israel Movement — egalitarianism, pluralism, inclusivity, diversity and democracy — exemplify the values Dr. King espoused. The Masorti Movement lives its values.

Last month we were gratified to witness the first wedding of a Ugandan Jewish couple, Rivka and Rabbin, at Jerusalem’s Moreshet Avraham, a Masorti kehillah. They were  married in a service officiated by Masorti Rabbi Andy Sacks. The wedding was a joyous celebration of the love of this couple for each other, for Masorti Judaism, and for Israel.

Read a riveting first-hand account by Rabbi Sacks and see more beautiful pictures of the wedding here.
