The traditional congregation in Kochav Yair was established more than 20 years ago and serves the residents of the communities of Kochav Yair, Tzur Yigal and nearby Alfei Menashe.
Each year, youngsters have Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies with us, and on the High Holy Days about 200 local worshipers join us.
The congregation represents a variety of religious views and opinions and can be seen as a beautiful quilt composed of our many diverse community members.
The community is active and dynamic and conducts various activities for the benefit of its members: a ceremony for Bnei Mitzvahs on Shavuot, the reading of the Megillah on Purim, Tisha B’Av activities and weekly prayer and community lessons.
