The Ohel Menashe congregation was founded in August 2013 in Yokne’am Illit, which is developing at an accelerated pace and will continue to grow in the coming years. It is a young city with young families and children.
The name “Ohel Menashe”(Menashe’s tent) reflects the intention of the members of the community: a tent as a symbol of openness and a desire for guests and other members of the community, and Menashe as a connection to the place where we live.
The congregation is open and interested in the joining other residents of Yokne’am Illit and nearby communities. Members of the congregation come from different backgrounds and cultures. Being a new congregation, everyone has a place and everyone is reflected in the evolving nature of the community.
