Tagal Arava was founded in 2001 as the Masorti kehilla in Eilat.
The name of the congregation comes from the verse of the prophet Yeshaya (35: 1): ” Desert and wasteland shall rejoice over them, and the plain shall rejoice and shall blossom like a rose..”
The synagogue is located in the “Alon” school complex. The synagogue conducts prayers every Saturday, and sometimes the Seudah Shlishit and Rosh Chodesh prayers are organized. In addition, the congregation offers an array of classes in Hebrew, English and Spanish, as well as assistance for needy students.
We lives up to our name When we do this, we are a well of wisdom for the entire region. Groups and moshavim on the Arava address the congregation with all sorts of questions related to Judaism, and the congregation flourishes like a lily and brings a message of modern and faithful Judaism that renews the old and sanctifies the new.
