Moshav Shorashim was founded in 1980 by a group of native Israelis and new olim from North America. It is a close-knit community of families, committed to a pluralistic approach to Judaism.
The synagogue in Moshav Shorashim is active on Shabbat and holidays, and serves as a focal point for the whole community on Jewish life-cycle events and holidays. All activities are carried out by volunteers, who lead prayers, read Torah and Megillah, facilitate text study sessions and organize activities.
