For the first time in its history, the Masorti Movement is led by a woman, Rakefet Ginsberg. She brings a unique perspective to her role and demonstrates it in her creative High Holiday message. In it, she connects the law of Shmita — allowing the land of Israel to rest every seven years — to the commitment to a more just, more equal, and more inclusive society. One that makes a welcome space for all, that respects and honors tradition, and that works to create social justice and an egalitarian Israel.
