Religious Affairs in Israel
A joint operation of the Masorti Movement and the Rabbinical Assembly of Israel, the Religious Affairs Bureau focuses on religious affairs, in Israel, issues and concerns covering the entire span of the Jewish life cycle, including births, Brit Milah (circumcisions), Bar/Bat Mitzvoth, weddings, conversions and burials in an atmosphere of inclusiveness and respect.
Highly experienced staff provide legal assistance to individuals who may need help navigating Israel’s complicated marriage, divorce, and conversion laws. Such situations may be difficult to solve alone, and the Religious Affairs Bureau helps with these sometimes confusing processes.
The Religious Affairs Bureau also arranges Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and other religious ceremonies at Azrat Yisrael, formally known as Robinson’s Arch (The Masorti Kotel), the egalitarian section of the Western Wall.
